Mayer’s 35th Annual Health Fair at Fairgrounds April 9

The 35th Annual Health Fair sponsored by Mayer’s Intermountain Healthcare Foundation will be held at the Intermountain Fairgrounds on Saturday April 9. The event will begin with at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast for attendees and will last until 11:30 a.m. The Intermountain community is invited to attend. Admission is free.

The community event will feature many healthcare vendors representing various departments of Mayers Memorial Hospital, as well as many outside vendors providing health information and screenings.

Lab tests will be offered at a discounted rate with results mailed directly to the lab draw participants. Results will also be faxed to participants’ providers upon request. LabCorp, in Redding, will retain the records and be able to provide copies if participants need them in the future.

Mayers is offering a Basic Panel which includes a complete blood count, thyroid stimulating, hormone (TSH), coronary risk profile, and chemistry panel. The cost for the basic panel is $40.

Other optional tests include PSA (men’s prostate) test for $20, Vitamin D test for $20, and HbA1C (diabetes) test for $15.

Intermountain Insurance Services, Inc., Dr. David P. Young D.C., Soroptimist International of Burney-Fall River, and the United Presbyterian Women’s Association are all sponsors for the event.
