First 5 Shasta and Bright Futures will be hosting the 9th Annual “Lunch with our Community Helpers” at the Intermountain Community Center at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13th. The event is being held as part of the “Week of the Child.”
All children 5 and under and their families are invited. There will be an opportunity for the children to meet local firefighters, law enforcement officers, and other local community helpers. The children will be able to learn what they do, see their vehicles and equipment, and learn safety tips.
Afterward, their will be a fantastic barbecue together with folks from the Senior Nutrition Center. The event is free. If you plan on coming, please call Shaylene at 335-4600.
