All three candidates for Shasta County District 3, Janet Chandler, Pam Giacomini, and Mary Rickert will be at the Burney Lions Hall on Wednesday night, May 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to present their platforms and answer questions from voters.
Pam Giacommi is the current board member for District 3. Janet Chandler and Mary Rickert are both challenging the incumbent. All three candidates have a wide range of experience, skills, and talents. Each candidate has a unique perspective on the issues and how best to serve the needs of our district.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the issues facing Shasta County, to get to know the candidates, to ask questions, and to express concerns. It is also a chance to learn more about how our local county government functions and the impact it has on our community.
The event is cosponsored by the Burney Chamber of Commerce, the League of Women Voters, and the Burney Lions Club. It is free and open to the public. Please come. Let us be informed voters and involved citizens.
