The Shasta Regional Community Foundation has announced that several grants are open for proposals. Interested parties should refer to individual grant application forms for grant proposal deadlines on the website at www.shastarcf.org. In most cases, people can use the Online Grant Portal (www.shastarcf.org/grants) for submitting grant applications.
No paper applications will be accepted. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on the day of the deadline.
Animal Welfare Endowment Fund
The Animal Welfare Endowment Fund is accepting applications from organizations in Shasta and Siskiyou counties. Grants from this fund will be awarded to primarily assist in the care and feeding of animals. Non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status and public organizations who promote animal welfare such as support for: vaccinations, spay and neuter services, animal rescue, animal rehabilitation and more are encouraged to apply. Grant dollars will fund requests ranging from $1,000 to $7,500.

The Women’s Fund Mobilizing the Power of Women Through Philanthropy
The Women’s Fund is currently accepting grant applications from nonprofits and public entities serving the Redding area. Grant applicants must address the 2016 focus area, “FOSTERING SELF SUFFICIENCY”. Funding will be provided to those efforts which work to aid women who are struggling to address basic needs that will bring stability to their families by breaking down barriers that prevent women from gaining independence and self-sufficiency. Total funding of $45,000 will be awarded with minimum application amounts of $5,000 required. Deadline: Wednesday, August 3, 2016
Community Arts Endowment Fund
The competitive funding cycle for the Community Arts Endowment Fund is now open and accepting applications for grant requests from nonprofit organizations, public entities, and individual artists in Shasta and Siskiyou counties. Grants will be awarded for projects ranging from $500 to $5,000 and will be primarily for the creation and presentation of new work. Fields supported by these grants may include but are not limited to: dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design. Deadline: Wednesday, August 17, 2016
Redding Rancheria Community Fund
The Redding Rancheria Community Fund is accepting applications for grant requests from Shasta and Trinity County nonprofit organizations and public entities in the areas of arts/culture, education, environment, health and social services. Requests ranging from $500 to $10,000 are encouraged. Deadline: Wednesday, September 7, 2016
