On Saturday, October 8, the Mountain Valley Health Center in Burney hosted a Homeless Outreach to provide assistance to the homeless in the area. The clinic lasted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. About 15 local homeless people came for the outreach.
The clinic provided food, clothing, and blankets. In addition, toiletries such as shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste were given out. Socks were much needed.
Coffee, juice, and muffins were served. Several people received flu shots. Several also took the opportunity to enjoy a good shower.
A phlebotomist came from Mayers Memorial Hospital to provide blood tests.
Thank you Mountain Valley for providing this service.
