68th Annual Harvest Dinner in Burney

For more that six decades the Burney Presbyterian Church hosted a Harvest Dinner.

God works in mysterious ways. The doors of the Burney Presbyterian Church building have been closed now for over a year.

However, a church building is not a church.

The members of the congregation have continued to meet and worship for Sunday service as the New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 37095 Main Street, Suite C. They have been officially accepted into the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

They have also continued the Harvest Dinner, a fine Burney tradition. This year the Harvest Dinner was held on Wednesday, October 19 at the Burney Lions Club from 5-6:30 p.m.

A friend of mine, Jim Glaser, graciously shared the above two photos to give the community a visual taste of the event.

Thank you Jim, and thank you members of the New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church for your faith and service to the Burney community.

God bless us everyone.
