Halloween evening, the United Pentacostal Church in Johnson Park invited the community to share a Fall Harvest Extravaganza. There was candy for the kids and food and fellowship for all.
The fun began at 5:30. Pastor John Peterson and two of the youngsters went out by Hwy 299 enthusiastically inviting the community to share in the festive gathering.
The parking lot filled with cars. As guests entered they were greeted by Stephanie.
There were lots of creative colorful costumes. Sam and Jenelle Yount were there with their family to add to the cheer.
This young princess added special charm to the occasion.
and a daring young knight was there to chivalrously honor the occasion.
Children were bubbling with joy.
Pastor Peterson in his banana costume, led the children in games.
Meanwhile, Jodi was busy in the kitchen preparing and serving food for all – hot dogs and nachos with chili and cheese, carrot cake, popcorn balls, and lots of hot apple cider.
The evening ended with enjoyable conversation amongst the gathering in the dining area. Pastor Sheaden Crabtree from the Solid Rock Four Square Church stopped by with his family to share in the fun and fellowship and get acquainted with United Pentecostal’s new minister.
