Community meeting on crime and homelessness coming July 11 at Burney Veterans Hall

On July 11 at 6 p.m. there will be a meeting at the Veterans Hall in Burney at 6 P.M. for the general public to discuss issues related to crime and homelessness in Burney and the Intermountain area.

The meeting is being sponsored by the Burney Chamber of Commerce in coordination with County Supervisor Mary Rickert and the Shasta County Sherriff’s Department. Supervisor Rickert, Shasta County Sherriff Tom Bosenko, and George Peck from the California Highway Patrol will be present. A representative from Cal Fire is also being invited.

Jen Luck, Office Manager for the Burney Chamber of Commerce would like input from people in the area, including homeowners, businesses, churches, service clubs, health organizations and all other interested parties to help plan the agenda.
