The Burney Lions Club served up a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast at the Lions Hall in Burney from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The Leo’s helped by serving generous portions of delicious turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, salad, and cranberry sauce to scores of folks in the hall.
Dozens more came to the hall to get dinners to take home. In addition, the Lions had delivered more than 35 meals to homes prior to the sit-down feast for people who were housebound.
After the meal, diners were treated to a selection of pies. Choices included pumpkin, pecan, cherry, berry, apple, and mincemeat.
The Burney Lions have been serving Thanksgiving dinner for the community for over 40 years as a way to thank the people of Burney for their continued support for Lions Club service projects.
I agree, it was amazingly delicious
