Burney Elementary School invites parents of children planning to attend Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten to registration day on Friday, April 13th. The informational meeting and registration will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. in the BES multi-use room.
Children who will be five on or before September 1st are eligible to enroll for Kindergarten. Children who will be turning five from September 2nd to December 2nd are eligible to enroll for Transitional Kindergarten. We will place students on a wait list for Young 5’s, as we will offer young 5’s if enrollment allows.
The registration meeting will be an excellent opportunity for parents to meet the staff members who will be working with their children, to receive information about the various programs, and to ask questions.
Parents are urged to bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization record to registration day. A child WILL NOT be registered until all documents are completed and submitted. During registration, parents of registering Kindergarten students will make an appointment for the child’s screening and be informed about the visitation day. He/ she WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the visitation day unless the registration and screening processes have been completed.
