News release from Cindy Dodds, Executive Director, TCCN:
On Tuesday morning, May 29, The Intermountain Community Center graduated twelve of its thirty-seven preschoolers. “These four and five year old are ready to conquer their new adventures at local elementary schools,” said Denise Luntey.
The event was attended by 50-60 family members and friends. Pit River Casino contributed a full meal catered by their Food and Beverage Manager, Ramon Alvarez. In addition, the Avelar-Gemmill family provided candy and toys for all of the children.
Children’s Program Director Denise Luntey said, “I am so grateful for the generosity of this group of parents. Everyone chips in and brings food and donates their time. We really make amazing memories with these exceptional people.”
She went on to say, “I have the best staff. They go over and above for our children and this program. But, I need to acknowledge Ashley Nelson and rain praise on her. She has had a stellar first year teaching, all while going to school and take care of her family. I am so proud of her and her character!”
