Nov 03 (Sat) Bazaar at the Glenburn Church from 10am – 2pm

Nov 03 -(Sat) Glenburn Church 14th Annual Grand Piano Recital at 2pm Ten recitalists are scheduled to perform Free and everyone is welcome

Nov 03 (Sat) Kristen Maier’s senior project Winter Driving Class at Ingram Hall at the fairgrounds in McArthur from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Trained professionals from CHP and Cal Trans will be teaching the class about chains, black ice, hydroplaning, winter driving at night & more. Free – Everyone is welcome. Great for new and experienced drivers. Raffles &refreshments (Kristen 339-6889)

Nov 04 (Sun at 2am) Day Light Savings ends. Turn clocks back and remember it is a good time to replace heater filters and smoke detector batteries

Nov 06 (Tue) Election Day. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm

MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES ETC

If you are interested in arts and crafts you are invited to share your ideas. learn from others about their interests, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded artisans at the Evelyn O. Royce Art Center in Fall River Mills from 10am – 2pm on Tuesdays. Call Barbara at 335-4428 fro more information.

Women’s Self Defense Classes Nov 9th and Nov 13th at Rising Sun Fit Club in Burney.

Stretch classes Tue and Thur at 12:15. Call for info 530-335-3536

It’s Apple Pie Time for the McArthur FFA and time for you to order one (or more) of their famous apple pies. Now through November you may contact an FFA member or call Fall River High School at 336-5515 to order your pies or volunteer to assist with the pies. Last year they made 1,000 pies on bake day between 8a and 2p.. Don’t miss out!

Watch for it: Dogwood Cottage will be opening soon at 37026 Main Street (next to the Theatre) in Burney. Fresh flowers, ornamentations, FTD (335-5500)
